Born in Halifax and raised in Ottawa, Sangeeta has been training in Indian Classical dance from the age of 8. She began her training with Upasana the Spirit of Dance in Ottawa, learning the styles of Odissi and Kathak. She is currently training in Kuchipudi under the guidance of Yamini Kalluri and recently had the opportunity to attend a one week intensive in Auroville with the renowned Odissi dancer, Bijayini Satpathy. Sangeeta is passionate about early childhood education and sharing the stories of diverse Canadians. She has worked in the Western Quebec schoolboard and Halifax regional schoolboard to offer workshops on the diverse cultural dances of India.
